2010 Draft Report Card | Top 100 Rookies (26 Apr 10)

March 2010 Mock Draft

Team Pick Player POS College Reason
1.01 Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma  He's a franchise caliber QB and those don't just fall off trees. Rams start the rebuild with Mr. Bradford. He's smart, he wins...can he stay healthy?
1.02 Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska  Suh is just plain dominant. He will be the anchor of this D for years. He single-handedly prison-raped the Texas O-line last year.
1.03 Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma  Quick and relentless, yet another DT to anchor the middle of a D...Visions of Warren Sapp dance through the Bucs heads with this pick.
1.04 Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame  Shanahan needs his QB to develop and Clausen is as pro ready as they come. Big arm, pro offense experience.
1.05 Russell Okung OT Okla. St.  Okung will hold down the LT spot for the Chiefs who love having monster O-lineman and are in desperate need right now.
1.06 CJ Spiller RB Clemson  The Hawks need a RB and Spiller is faster than first time sex. He will give them that home run threat they need. Future stud.
1.07 Dez Bryant WR Okla. St.  THE impact WR of this class, the Browns need a target...any target! Bryant is big, strong, fast and goes up to get the jump ball...instant impact.
1.08 Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa  Bulaga could be the top lineman off the draft board...if he slides here, the Raiders can't pass. Of course we're talking Al Davis so Riley Cooper could be the pick. DOH!
1.09 Dan Williams DT Tennessee  Williams is a big active stud DT that will help shore up the center of the Bills D. Their D is shifting to a 3-4 and they need that anchor.
1.10 Eric Berry S Tennessee  Berry has "it". Wherever the ball is, so is Berry. He's not big but brings the lumber to hit. Great run support and a playmaker.
1.11 Rolando McClain LB Alabama  Crohn's disease causes some worry for teams but it hasn't hurt McClain in the college game. Very cerebral play who just makes plays. Broncos lock down their middle.
1.12 Sergio Kindle OLB Texas  Freakish edge rusher who will give Parcells that pass rush he so desires. Kindle can stand up and play OLB or hit DE. He's a Parcells guy.
1.13 Trent Williams OT Oklahoma  Niners continue to build that offense with a rock OT. Williams can play either tackle providing the athleticism and versatility to make him the pick here.
1.14 Demaryius Thomas WR GA Tech  DT is going to be the chart riser of this draft. He's got speed and size to burn. He makes big plays and the Hawks need another playmaker. If they get Spiller and DT their offense gets and instant injection.
1.15 Jason Pierre-Paul DE USF  Osi Umenyiora keeps threatening retirement and the G-men just reload with yet another amazing athlete at DE. JPP fits the Giant mold of edge rushers.
1.16 Derrick Morgan DE GA Tech  Morgan is the safe DE pick in the draft. Plays the run equally as well as he rushes the passer. Rock solid prospect that the Titans haven't had at DE in a long time.
1.17 Taylor Mays S USC  Niners grab the USC stud to quarterback the defense. Mays is an athletic freak with LB size and CB speed. He knocks people's heads off and Singletary just loves that.
1.18 Joe Haden CB Florida  Steelers are thrilled that a lockdown CB like Haden slides this far. He's got the speed to cover anyone.
1.19 Sean Weatherspoon ILB Missouri  Underrated LB who goes sideline to sideline making plays. The Falcons lock up their run stuffer for the next 5 years with this pick.
1.20 Kyle Wilson CB Boise St.  Another stud lockdown CB falls into the Texans lap. If the Steelers don't get Haden, they'll scoop Wilson and the whole mock changes.
1.21 Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma  There are a lot of ?'s around Gresham but the Bengals can't resist giving Carson Palmer an Antonio Gates type player.
1.22 Brandon Graham LB/DE Michigan  He's a PERFECT PATRIOT. He has a non-stop motor, high character "team player". He is a great pass rusher and can stand up and play OLB.
1.23 Charles Brown OT USC  The Pack continue to try and shore up that OL to keep Aaron Rodgers from getting beat like he spilled Kool-Aid on mom's carpet.
1.24 Everson Griffin DE USC  Eagles just love quick athletic DE in the Trent Cole mold. Griffin stops the run and gets in the backfield, perfect fit here.
1.25 Patrick Robinson CB Florida St.  Ravens love the speed and athleticism of Robinson. Their D is aging so it's time to get some young talent developing.
1.26 Jared Odrick DT/DE Penn St.  Odrick sliding here would be a gift the Cards couldn't resist. He'll help the inside of their D with his run stuffing and can help with the pass rush.
1.27 Mike Iupati G Idaho  The best OG in the draft slides down to Cowboy town. They need to boost the O-line but you just know Jerry Jones wants to take an offensive player here. He's a fantasy football player at heart!
1.28 Ryan Mathews RB Fresno St.  LT goes away and the Chargers need that big strong back...enter Mr. Mathews. He'll be a fantasy stud if he lands here.
1.29 Golden Tate WR Notre Dame  The Jets are dying for playmakers in the passing game and Tate is just that. He's super quick and has a knack for making the big play. Instant home run guy.
1.30 Brian Price DT UCLA  Underrated stud that really isn't far behind Suh and McCoy in the talent department but comes at a bargain price. Time to get someone behind the Williams Wall for when one of those old studs retires.
1.31 Maurkice Pouncey OL Florida  Outstanding O-line as the Colts don't have any major needs they just keep shoring up that offense. They could go D with the pick but Pouncey is the value play.
1.32 Carlos Dunlap DE Florida  The Saints get that edge rusher to take over for Charles Grant. Dunlap has off-field issues that a team like the Saints can fix. He's a pass rushing monster.
