Week #14 Game by Game Projections By The Hog

Week 14 is here and its either last game crunch time or playoffs baby!   If you are still reading these projections we are going to assume that all is well with your team.  Another Thursday night groaner but these two teams really don't like each other and whatever the overall record this one is a dogfight in LA.   Look for other good games with the  Ravens @ Redskins and on Monday night the class of the AFC with the Texans @ Patriots

Summary:  I repeat, these two teams REALLY don't like each other and Peyton is about to find out why it's always been "the black hole"   On the surface this game looks like an easy win for Denver who is rolling to the AFC West championship but I think this game is a tougher match than it would appear.  Thing is Peyton is playing like its 2005 and Denver is running on all cylinders.  Although this is a dog fight, Denver walks away with the win.

Summary:  How to pick this game?  The Rams play touch against the NFC West but just been unpredictable at best when they are on the road.   In addition you take that nice dome team and stick them outside in the Buffalo snow and bad things happen.  Looks like weather is a factor in this game.  Watch it close and upgrade the passing game if it turns out nice

Summary: Murray came back strong in Week 13 and should follow up with a strong performance at the Bengals.  Dez has been red hot and we expect that to continue.  From the write up, it looks like we favor the Cowboys but we think Andy Dalton finds a way to win this one at home.

Summary:  Chiefs got an emotional win last week but that only goes so far.   You have to have talent too and Cleveland is showing power with Richardson and a surprisingly solid Josh Weeden.  TRich and JCharles both run up good numberS in this game but look for Cleveland to win this one at home.

Summary:  This team belongs to Nick Foles now.  With everyone else looking at the exit door, this may be next years tryout for Foles and Brown.  The Eagles are headed the wrong direction and the Buc's are looking to come back from last weeks pounding by Denver.   Freeman, Martin and Jackson should do well this week.  Brown is the only bright spot on this Eagles team so look elsewhere if you have choices.

Summary:  This game is looking like one the best matchups on Sunday, both of these teams can play ball!  RGIII is looking like the best rookie QB this year (Sorry Luck) and the Redskins are winning in spite of Daniel Snyder.  Baltimore might get Ray Lewis back for this one and there was actually a Boldin sighting last week.   This is a start em' if you got em' game and hope for the best.

Summary: Atlanta comes onto the Panthers home field and the sparks are gonna fly.  Matt Ryan will recover from last weeks downturn and give the rock to all three of his main guys.  Turner adds another TD on the ground and the Falcons roll.  Carolina has too much talent to stop completely but the Falcons control this game.  Should be points for your Panthers also but watch the news for LaFell's MRI this week.

Summary:  Another NFL yawner.  Chad Henne has made the Jags look competitive but all that really tells us is just how bad Gabbert really is.   Not much offense in this game regardless of who starts for the Jets.  When you have McElroy from "Tin Cup" as your QB not much more needs to be said.   Ugly game with the Jags winning this one at home.  If Jennings can't go, give his numbers to Owens.

Summary:  The Titans are playing better with Locker back but lack the firepower to overcome the hot Andrew Luck and his Colts.  Peyton is becoming a faint memory as this team rally's behind their new leader.  Luck drove them down the field against Detroit last week and scored with 3 seconds on the clock thru a 14 yard strike to Avery for the win.  Look for more of the same as Luck becomes more confident with each passing week.   TY Hilton is a top 15 receiver over the last 4 weeks and we expect lots of receptions in this game for everyone.

D           5 D           2

Summary:  In Week 14 Marshall caught almost everything thrown at him and Forte surprised with a much stronger performance than expected.  After losing to Seattle, the Bears are pissed and Minnesota is just not up to the Green Bay/Chicago class and although Peterson continues to impress this one goes Chicago's way.    With no one else healthy Marshall has another big game and might get both touchdowns from Cutler.  Unless Percy Harvin comes back this week its hard to tell who might catch any passes.  The Chicago DB's might have the best chance

Summary:  San Diego is folding like a house of cards and no one really understands why Norv is still there.   With Big Ben coming back this week and Pittsburgh feeling the pressure to win this one goes for the Steelers.  Rivers will score in garbage time, but this one is really not as close as the final score.

Summary:  How to pick those 49'rs one week they are the class of the NFC and the next they lose to one of the worst.  Kaepernick looked like a rookie last week against the Rams, not so much because he made mistakes but they never really let him loose.    He did get 208 passing and 84 rushing but only one big run and lots of dink and dunk.  I like the 49'rs at home here as Miami is still in training for next year.   The only real starters here are Gore and Bush.  It is hard to predict consistent performance from anyone else here.

Summary:  This NFC West always plays tough matches but seriously 10 of 31 with 72 yards and a pick is not an NFL quality QB and until Arizona fixes that situation they continue to lose.  It is hard to see them scoring a TD at all.  Combine that with 19 carries for 22 yards with Beanie and this Cardinal team is a serious cluster ^&%*&.  The Seahawks win this one at home easily with Wilson and Lynch solid and putting up good numbers.  Rice took a blow to the head so watch his status as the week progresses.

Summary:  Drew Brees played one of his worst games as an NFL QB.  He will NOT throw 5 interceptions again.  While this one looks like a win for the home team, we think that the Saints play tough and take this one away from the Giants.  You already know the deal with Saints receivers, with the exception of Colston and Graham you are taking your chances.   On the Giants side, with the exception of Hixon, get them in your lineup.

Summary:  Detroit is the hard luck team of the year with BAAAD defense.  Aaron Rodgers tears them up bad this week and we might need to double up his touchdowns.  You are not starting Starks unless you are in a bad way or just not very smart.   Its the receivers and quarterbacks in this game start em' all and watch the points add up.  On the Detroit side, there is a reason they call him Megatron and with Broyles out he has a big game.    For the same reason its almost a complete crapshoot whether Young or Thomas gets those yards.   Watch the news out of Detroit if these guys are in your lineup.

Summary: Big Monday night game here.  This one looks to be the pre-match for a possible AFC championship.   Lots of offense, lots of defense.  Have your beer cold and the brats already cooked, you don't want to miss this game.  Both teams want this one bad and it will be a fight.  Forsett actually looked better than Foster last week but don't expect anything to change here The Texans know who their studs are and will use them.   Brady is Brady and will throw to you if your open.  Ridley is a stud and Welker/Hernandez round out the must starts for this game.
