QB Carson Palmer | That unlikely trade I mentioned last week suddenly became a reality, so if you didn't grab him this past week, he's worth a roster spot without question as a QB2. Take his part time performance against the Chiefs with a grain of salt - as good as they said he looked in practice, I believe the Raiders staff never expected him to take any snaps. With Oakland on the bye in Week 8, he'll have plenty of time to get up to speed and be ready to go in Week 9 against the Broncos. |

QB John Beck | Ok, maybe you were on the fence regarding Beck last week. I think you will agree that his performance against the Panthers should make him a tad more appealing. If you are in a bye week pickle in Week 8, Beck is an intriguing sleeper option who could put up similar numbers (279 yards, 1 TD 1 rushing TD) against the Buffalo Bills. |

RB Keiland Williams | I still think that with Jahvid Best's future at least this year up in the air, Williams is the running back to have in Detroit. Maurice Morris is a decent player, but take away his 31 yard scamper, and yesterday was an abject failure. Most sites will decline to mention that. Williams is the more punishing runner and will be much more effective in my opinion. Look for him to make some noise in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos. |

RB Ryan Torain and Roy Helu | I can only assume in the whirlwind of excitement of what was expected to be a overwhelming performance against the Eagles challenged run defense that Torain is no longer on your league's waiver wire. However if by some chance he is, in the light of RB Tim Hightower's torn ACL, Torain and fellow RB Roy Helu both have renewed fantasy relevance. I am certain that head coach Mike Shanahan will make it perfectly clear who will carry the load for the Redskins moving forward. (Sorry, I'm just chuckling to myself...) * *Hightower is done for the season* * |

RB Alfonso Smith | You'll want to keep an eye on Smith as news regarding the severity of Chris Wells and his sprained knee becomes clearer. Alfonso is not Emmitt, but if Wells misses any time, Smith will get most of the work, and a #1 running back on the wire regardless of long term status is something to consider. * *News is now clearer - Wells to miss 1 -2 weeks * * |

RB Kregg Lumpkin | Tampa Bay Buccaneers - RB LeGarrette Blount is down with a sprained MCL, and now Earnest Graham is likely done for the season with a torn Achilles tendon. Looking down the depth chart we hit... we hit... Kregg Lumpkin! As it stands now he is the new Buccaneers starting running back moving forward. I wonder if CB Ronde Barber is on the phone with his brother Tiki... |

RB Michael Bush | If the Darren McFadden owner wasn't smart enough to snare him, consider Bush a nice bargaining tool for a deal. Or if the sprained foot keeps McFadden on the shelf for any amount of time, Bush could prove to be a valuable asset to hang on to. He lacks the versatility of McFadden, but can deliver in his own right. |

RB Pierre Thomas | It's funny, despite still being the starter in New Orleans, Thomas is almost an afterthought in fantasy circles with the arrival of rookie RB Mark Ingram. However Thomas is still producing, and if the heel injury to Ingram limits him in any way, Thomas could continue to quietly be a rock solid fantasy contributor. |

WR Harry Douglas | As long as rookie Julio Jones is out of the lineup, someone will have to pick up some of the slack alongside WR Roddy White, and over the past few weeks that has been Douglas. His participation and production has increased over each of the last four weeks, and while he may be a short term option, he is still worth consideration in a pinch. The Falcons are on the bye Week 8, so keep an eye on the status of Julio Jones. |

WR Jabar Gaffney | He's mentioned again as his value will spike with WR Santana Moss breaking a bone in his hand (never good for a receiver) and is already listed as OUT for the Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills. This is a sweet matchup for Gaffney, so if you need some assistance at the receiver spot, look no further. **Moss to miss 5 - 7 weeks opting for surgery on his broken hand * * |

WR Plaxico Burress | Finally delivering in the red zone like most New York faithful had hoped, he'll now be on many a fantasy owner's radar heading into Week 8. His yardage totals were paltry, but he was in QB Mark Sanchez's sights inside the 20, not once, not twice, but three times (more if you count the one's he missed) and that my friends is fantasy GOLD. |

WR Dezmon Briscoe | I agree, the Buccaneers wide receivers are quite the enigma. This week I present Dezmon Briscoe, who not only was targeted 10 times by QB Josh Freeman, but gained 73 receiving yards and scored a 24 yard touchdown. Now bear in mind that the Buccaneers were without any semblance of a running attack, heading into the game without an injured LeGarrette Blount and losing Earnest Graham to what seems to be a serious injury. The cart is never a welcome sight. But safe to say Tampa Bay need to throw more than they probably would have liked. That said, 10 targets is hard to ignore, and moving forward Briscoe is worth monitoring. |

TE Heath Miller | The Steelers aren't going to put up 32 points every week, but if Miller continues to be involved in the passing game, he is worthy of consideration. He is a big target with solid hands and has had QB Ben Roethlisberger's confidence for quite some time now. |

TE Visanthe Shiancoe | Sure the Vikings have their issues. They have a rookie quarterback, are 1-6 and things seem rather bleak. However, their upcoming schedule is favorable from a fantasy point production standpoint, and QB Christian Ponder is smart enough to heavily target his big tight end. When you are down, you throw and Ponder throws to Shiancoe. |
