Jake Locker | He filled in more than admirably when starter Matt Hasselbeck went out of the game with an elbow injury. Locker looked pretty solid, locking in on WR Nate Washington for the first two passing touchdowns of this young career. He should be long gone in dynasty formats, but bears keeping an eye on in all formats if Hasselbeck misses any time and he continues progressing this nicely. |

Rex Grossman | He's erratic. He's inconsistent. He makes silly almost mind-numbing mistakes. But the starting gig is again his and he manages to put up better than average fantasy numbers. If you are in need of a QB, Grossman is certainly worth taking a flier on. Wait a minute.. Is this Week2? |

Vince Young | He has his moments Sunday night both good and bad, without question. But if Michael Vick is unable to play again in Week 12, you could do worse than Young as your QB. For instance, the Bears new starting quarterback, Caleb Hanie. |

Kevin Smith | So it was against the league's worst defense against the rush. But you can't ignore Smith's numbers, numbers that were far and above better than the others who have filled in for the injured Jahvid Best up to now. We're talking over 200 yards combined total yards and three, (yes three) touchdowns. I'd say he's worth a look. |

Joe McKnight | The Week 12 status of RB Shonn Greene is still up in the air, but McKnight's performance in relief is worth noting. He didn't score but in addition to being an effective runner, he was active and efficient as a receiver out of the backfield. Given the Jets issues overall, it wouldn't surprise me to see Rex give the ball to McKnight for another whirl. Grab him and play the wait and see. |

Toby Gerhart | He took over the backfield duties after starting RB Adrian Peterson left the game with an ankle injury. X-Rays were negative, but an MRI is scheduled for Monday morning. Peterson is a warrior, but if he is forced to miss any time, Gerhart would get the nod. |

CJ Spiller | Fred Jackson left the game Sunday with a calf injury **GASP** It didn't seem serious, but Spiller is a smart addition for insurance, or since he'll get the rock should Jackson be limited or miss any time. |

Torrey Smith | I found it mind-boggling how many leagues this guy was still available in. Firstly, Lee Evans isn't coming back. Even if he was, Smith is far and away a better player. He gives the QB Joe Flacco and the Ravens a true deep threat, and when he is on, you get games from Smith like you saw Sunday against the Bengals. |
![]() |
Mike Williams (TB) | He was more than likely drafted in most leagues, as many were high on the second year receiver and expected good things. Well after week one, he didn't fulfill most of those expectations to say the least. Well, if there was an impatient owner in your league who cut him loose, it's obvious the Buccaneers are trying to get him going. Make a play for him and see if he's able to build on this past week's success. |

Donte Stallworth | He's resurfaced in Washington, and truth be told he didn't look all that bad. He may slip down the depth chart with the inevitable return of WR Santana Moss, but he was targeted six times by QB Rex Grossman, and even hauled in a 4 yard touchdown pass. Worth an add in deeper leagues especially if he continues to be a factor in DC. |
![]() |
Chas Schilens | Hey, he only grabbed one pass on Sunday but it was for a touchdown. Ok, there are more reasons I mention him – WR Jacoby Ford missed the game due to injury and Darrius Heyward-Bey, putting together a nice afternoon was carted off with a head injury. If one or both of those guys miss any time, Schilens will shoot up the depth chart in a hurry. |

Kevin Boss | The bye weeks are thankfully in the rear view mirror for the 2011 season, but if you need a TE, it seems that Boss is a bonafide option in the Raiders passing game. It is really nice to see as Boss is a big target with good hands, and is proving himself to be a reliable weapon for QB Carson Palmer. Worth a roster spot, for sure. |

Scott Chandler | This hobby is the epitome of "what have you done for me lately" to put it mildly. Also keep in mind that the Bills receivers are already injured or got injured this week against Miami. It's a M*A*S*H unit for sure. By default, Chandler will get more looks and should make some noise similar to earlier this season. |
![]() |
Marcedes Lewis | Prior to the season, Lewis was one of the brighter options at the position for 2011. This was with QB David Garrard at the helm. Since his release and QB Blaine Gabbert taking over, Lewis has suffered a bit as his young QB goes through the ups and downs, cutting his teeth as an NFL quarterback. That said, in the loss Sunday against Cleveland, Lewis and Gabbert seemed to finally be on the same page. Worth monitoring to see if this trend continues – if so, Lewis will again be fantasy relevant. |

Greg Olsen | Granted he's been a bit quiet lately, but if you consider that fellow TE Jeremy Shockey has issues with staying healthy, and he is always in the sights of his young QB Can Newton. If he was dumped recently, grab him and you should be rewarded. |
